If you're certain that you'd like a personal security dog, but not a pet, what are you supposed to do? Here are five ways to go about training a dog to defend itself.

1. Learn to teach your dog obedience commands
The first thing to teach your dog is the basics of obedience The dog should be able to respond to basic commands for obedience. They should lie, sit down, and be with you all the time when you call them. Your dog should not be leash-free. being tied on a leash. Additionally, the dog must be taught and obey the "bark" or "leave it" commands.
Note: If your dog doesn't follow these rules consistently, or you're not able to make her learn new commands and you are not able to teach her new commands, then you must put aside the idea of turning your dog into a personal security dog.
2. Get Your Dog Socialized
It is also important to make sure that your dog is socialized to ensure that she doesn't be afraid of new and unfamiliar situations. This is most effective during the time of sensible time of the socialization for the Cane Corso Puppies phase (up to 16 weeks) but this isn't possible for every dog.
The opportunity to socialize is present whenever when you go out for an outing. If you notice a strange object, especially if your dog is anxious, bring your dog closer so she can examine it. The dog must also be aware of what a pedestrian looks like, and not be scared or think they need to do something to harm anyone else you happen to come across.
Wichtige Notes: Not every dog can tell who is secure, and it is not necessary for every dog should be trained to provide personal safety.
3. Train Your Dog to Bark at the Command of Your Dog
Make sure your dog is encouraged to bark at the sight of any person who comes near. (If you require more assistance in this regard I have some suggestions for teaching the dog commands.) Dogs that bark at a stranger could perform better than one who is responsive to an "attack" command, but doesn't bark.
Certain breeds of dogs aren't good at mastering this command. I have a Pit Bull that I trained to bark when I say "urubu" (vulture) because she is excited and barks at them when she walks along the beach. In the present, when I need her to the bark I simply say"urubu.
4. Learn to teach your dog to defend You
To move on to the next phase of the process of training it is necessary to locate someone that the dog does not recognize. The "stranger" is approached during a walk, then is approached and starts to challenge your dog. The dog could be wearing a dog-fighting suit, oven mitt, or a blanket with a quilted design over his body, but you may not require it. If you say the command, and your dog barks then he must be scared and flee. Your dog will grow confident.
Personally, I believe it's a good spot to put a stop to. Your dog already knows to bark and look threatening to anyone who threatens you while walking.
5. Learn to teach your dog to back Off
This is among the most essential aspects of training a personal security dog. The dog must be ready to guard you, however, it is essential for him to be able to leave the pet alone.
For example, if opt to train the Cane Corso Dog in attacking (which is something I would not recommend) immediately after your dog is able to put his teeth into that "stranger" within the situation in the above example, he should be told to "leave the area" and rewarded with praise.
Attention: If your dog isn't responding with the "leave it" command now and he is a bit aggressive, he could become violent in the future and you won't be able to keep him under control. If this occurs it is then you should not think about him for any training in personal safety.
